Daniella Ben-Attar has more than 12 years of international development experience in program design, project management, partnership building, resource mobilization and communications. Her areas of expertise include municipal capacity building, urban development, city-to-city cooperation, peacebuilding, youth empowerment and ICT for Development. She has worked in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and USA.
Ms. Ben-Attar has developed and managed projects with international organizations, including the World Bank, UN-HABITAT and UNIFEM. Among her current activities, she consults for the
World Bank, where she has managed municipal capacity building and urban youth empowerment programs, coordinated the production of e-learning courses, and conducted research and analysis on youth-led development best practices and partnership opportunities. She also consults as a project manager for the
Urban Age Institute, a US-based organization which fosters leadership and innovation between and among cities in areas of urban policy and management, sustainable environmental planning, and poverty reduction.
Her experience also includes public-private partnership development for corporations operating in developing countries, as well as work with business development firms, capacity building training institutes, NGOs and regional initiatives in the Middle East, including the Shimon Peres Center for Peace, MENA Development Forum and the International Women's Commission. She was a founding member and executive of the Glocal Forum, an international NGO promoting inter-city relations for peacebuilding and development, where she initiated, developed and managed city-to-city programs and partnerships with over 120 cities, international institutions and corporations worldwide. In addition, she spent 2 years in marketing communications management in the software industry.
Ms. Ben-Attar holds a Masters degree in Political Science & International Relations from Tel-Aviv University and a B.A. in Government & International Relations, Summa Cum Laude, from Clark University (Phi Beta Kappa).
